Industrial Manufacturing Facility for Steel Strong Valves Pvt Ltd
KMS Technologies successfully completed a large-scale industrial manufacturing facility for Steel Strong Valves Pvt Ltd in Udupi, Karnataka. Spread across approximately 1,46,998 sq ft, the facility is designed for heavy manufacturing operations, crane movement, and future expansion. KMS Technologies handled the complete project, including structural design, steel fabrication, and on-site erection.
The facility was designed to perform reliably in Udupi’s coastal climate while supporting large manufacturing spans and heavy industrial operations. The structural layout also improved workflow efficiency and enabled future expansion.
About the Client
Steel Strong Valves Pvt Ltd is a well-known valve manufacturer with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. They began manufacturing operations in 1982 and currently operate two manufacturing plants in Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) and Sanand (Gujarat).
They manufacture Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, and Cryogenic Valves in different sizes and pressure ranges, using materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex steel, and Monel. These valves are used in various industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, power plants, shipyards, mining, and chemicals.
As their manufacturing capacities and operations increased, Steel Strong Valves needed a third manufacturing plant at Udupi, Karnataka. For their third manufacturing plant, Steel Strong Valves chose KMS Technologies due to our experience in building industrial pre-engineered buildings, expertise in large-scale manufacturing operations, and efficient implementation of steel building turnkey solution projects.

What the Client Actually Needed
Steel Strong Valves required a manufacturing facility capable of large-scale industrial production while maintaining operational efficiency and future scalability.
The project required:
- Large clear-span workspace for uninterrupted manufacturing operations
- Structural support for heavy machinery and crane systems
- Durable steel structure suitable for coastal climate conditions
- Smooth material movement across the production floor
- An expandable structural layout for future capacity growth
The Challenges That Came with This Project
Every industrial manufacturing project comes with unique engineering and execution challenges. This project required careful planning at every stage.
Key challenges included:
- Coastal climate conditions due to Udupi’s proximity to the Arabian Sea
- Corrosion protection requirements for long-term structural durability
- Large clear-span requirements for heavy manufacturing operations
- Engineering support for heavy equipment and crane loads
- Long-distance logistics coordination from Greater Noida, UP, to Udupi, Karnataka
- Wind load and seismic compliance as per International design standards
The Site Before Construction Began
Before construction began, the site was prepared for industrial construction. The land was initially open and required leveling, alignment planning, and the development of civil foundations.
The early construction phase included:
- Site leveling and ground preparation
- Civil foundation work
- Anchor bolt placement
- Structural alignment marking
- Foundation layout preparation for steel erection
Foundation accuracy was critical because industrial steel structures rely on precise alignment between anchor systems, columns, and structural frames. Small deviations during foundation work can create major erection issues later during assembly.
Initial site preparation and civil foundation work before the start of structural steel erection for the manufacturing facility.
How KMS Technologies Delivered the Project
KMS Technologies approached the project with a strong focus on structural efficiency, execution planning, and long-term industrial performance.
Our execution strategy included:
- Designing an optimized PEB structure for heavy manufacturing operations
- Planning clear-span zones for efficient workflow and equipment movement
- Engineering crane-support systems for industrial load requirements
- Coordinating fabrication and logistics for long-distance project delivery
- Maintaining safety and quality standards during execution
Our team managed the project from design to final erection while maintaining execution efficiency across every stage.
Construction in Progress: Watching It Come to Life
Once the foundation work was completed, the project moved into the structural erection phase. The construction process involved large-scale steel assembly, roofing installation, and industrial cladding work.
The execution phase included:
- Primary steel column and rafter erection
- Crane-assisted structural assembly
- Roofing and wall cladding installation
- Structural alignment and finishing work

Why This Project Matters
Modern industrial manufacturing facilities need more than just a large building. Manufacturers today require infrastructure that supports smooth production flow, heavy machinery operations, future expansion, and long-term structural reliability.
This project shows how pre-engineered steel buildings help industries complete construction faster while improving operational efficiency inside the facility. A properly planned industrial PEB structure also reduces maintenance requirements, supports scalable manufacturing operations, and allows businesses to expand production with less disruption in the future.
With experience in industrial steel building projects, KMS Technologies delivered a facility designed for heavy manufacturing performance, efficient workflow movement, and long-term durability in coastal conditions.
Projects like this reflect the rising demand for modern industrial infrastructure across manufacturing sectors in India, where companies are investing in faster, stronger, and expansion-ready production facilities.
